Augmented reality is about using digital technology to overlay picture, video and other information to real word. It becomes the trend of digital marketing in nowadays since it can combine both reality and virtual together that to bring customers unique shopping experience.

There are many advantages of Augmented Reality technical in digital marketing.

Firstly, it can increase the customers’ engagement of brands. This is because by combining reality factors and virtual, customers can use smart phones, tablets or other digital products to get access to products and placed on real world in time easily. The convenience of it can increase customers’ willingness of trying products.

Secondly, it can help to increase brand awareness. It is because AR is relatively a new technology that will have strong impact. As the result, by doing AR campaign, the brand can make people talk about it actively.

  1. I think AR is a very useful tool for businesses to help get consumers to purchase online in particular!! While it can be seen to be useful with furniture I’ve seen it also be used by retailers that sell sunglasses so consumers can try on the product!!

    1. Yes I totally agree with you! AR technology can really help retailers to sell products especially for some products, such as make-up products and jewelry. By providing customers result of “after using products” in real time, people can try on products more easily even without leaving home. After that, they can purchase online directly, which is more convenient for both parties.

  2. I think that AR technology is so handy with consumers that aren’t 100% sold on the product/experience. It definitely gives them a chance to test out the product and helps them make up their mind! 🙂

    1. Yes! It really works for me. I have tried lipsticks on Sephora application, which is really convenient! I think AR will become more popular in digital marketing in the future!
